SAUGERTIES – A 16-year-old Mount Marion Park youth is in the Ulster
County Jail on $25,000 cash bail following an argument Thursday night
that resulted in gunfire.
Dylan Amell, 16, was charged with felony criminal possession of a firearm
and misdemeanor menacing following his arrest.
Investigation by Saugerties Police determined an argument over money led
to Amell pulling out a handgun and firing at the victim. H was not struck,
but did sustain minor injuries during the altercation.
The gun used by Amell was recovered.
Saugerties Police were assisted by State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s
Office, Town of Ulster Police and the Ulster County Emergency Response
Team.
