RAMAPO – Police arrested a prominent podiatrist and his girlfriend for allegedly plotting to kill the man’s wife and rough up two insurance investigators who were looking into his business.
Police allege Ira Bernstein, 41, and Kelly Myzner Gribeluk, 36, his girlfriend, plotted to have his wife, from whom he was getting divorced, killed.
Bernstein has $2 million in judgments against him as the result of two malpractice lawsuits.
Police charged both Bernstein and Gribeluk with felony and misdemeanor counts of conspiracy and solicitation. They are in the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $600,000 bail each
