POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie woman has been arrested by city police
and charged with felony arson for allegedly setting fire to the first
floor apartment she formerly rented at 28 Franklin Street.

The 10 p.m. fire on April 21 had been set in several locations leading
authorities to investigate it as suspicious.

On Wednesday, April 27, Poughkeepsie detectives arrested Susan Marzan,
37, for setting the fire as well on a misdemeanor charge of endangering
the welfare of a child.

Marzan was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu
of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
