Stanford man charged with grabbing butts, gun possession

POUGHKEEPSIE – A Stanford man was arrested by State Police at Poughkeepsie on felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon and two misdemeanor counts of forcible touching.
On Saturday, April 23 at about 3 p.m., a 17-year-old female reported she was jogging on Bushwick Road in the Town of LaGrange when a man pulled up in a pickup truck, got out and began jogging behind her. He then reportedly grabbed her buttocks before getting back in the truck and fleeing. The victim and a witness attempted to get his license plate number, but it was covered with duct tape.
The following day at about 3 p.m., a trooper spotted a pickup truck on Wilbur Road in Pleasant Valley. The driver was out of the vehicle talking with an elderly Pleasant Valley woman and bothering her. It was later discovered that he had slapped her behind.
William Martini IV, 31, was arrested when he tried to flee and was found to have illegally possessed a loaded .357 revolver.  He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
