MID-HUDSON – Strong winds rolled through areas of the Mid-Hudson Valley beginning just before dawn on Sunday.  A few areas even got some snow.
In Orange and Rockland Utilities’ territory alone, 18,500 customers
lost power.  Crews worked all day and night to restore the electricity
with just about all customers back online this morning.
Throughout Sunday morning, police radio communications reported trees and power lines down, in some cases blocking roads and in others, landing on houses.
