MID-HUDSON – Strong winds, and inches of snow in many areas, rolled
through areas of the Mid-Hudson Valley beginning just before dawn on Sunday.
In Orange and Rockland Utilities’ territory alone, 15,000 customers
lost power.

Crews worked all day long to restore the electricity with just about all
customers expected to be back in service by 8 a.m. Monday.

Throughout Sunday morning, police radio communications reported trees
and power lines down, in some cases blocking roads and in others, landing
on houses.

As of 2 p.m. Sunday, O&R reported the following number of customers
still without power:

Rockland County – 302
Orange County – 922
Sullivan County – 2,092
Pike County, PA – 121
