KINGSTON – The Kingston-based HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley
is now a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Alliance.
Officials of both institutions signed the deal at the Mary’s Avenue
Campus of the Health Alliance Hospital.
The relationship “ensures that our community will receive the highest-quality
healthcare,” said HealthAlliance President David Scarpino. “The
agreement strengthens HealthAlliance’s existing healthcare offerings
while providing new and more advanced services to meet a full range of
patient needs.”
Broadway Campus of HealthAlliance, formerly Kingston Hospital, will be
converted into a “medical village” concept with a variety
of community ambulatory services under one roof.
“This vision includes the continuation of critical-access and skilled-nursing
services in Margaretville.
Westchester Medical Center took over the former St. Francis Hospital in
Poughkeepsie two years ago and since then entering into a partnership
similar to the new HealthAlliance one with the Bon Secours Charity Health
System with hospitals in Suffern, Warwick and Port Jervis. The relationship
with HealthAlliance “furthers WMCHealth’s goal of preserving
and improving services in existing Hudson Valley healthcare facilities
so local families can benefit from high-quality care close to home”
said Westchester Medical Center Health Network President Michael Israel.
