MONROE – Two men are charged with grand larceny after they allegedly
stole merchandise from the Monroe Home Depot store.
State Police allege Tracy Alsdorf, 54, of Rock Tavern, an employee at the store, and Pietro Devito, 66, of Monroe, a customer, stole several items from the store over a three-week span.
Police said four separate transactions were made from February 7 through February 27 where Alsdorf would scan items for Devito at a cash register. The items were either not paid for by Devito or the sticker price was lowered at the register.
The cash value of the stolen items was over $1,700.
Both men were issued appearance tickets to Monroe Town Court.
