HYDE PARK – Police believe they have the suspect who may have broken into several vehicles in the town.
Kain Brown, 24, was charged with felony grand larceny and six counts of misdemeanor petit larceny.  He was committed to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond following his arraignment.
During the rash of break-ins, stolen items ranged from loose change, I-Pods, jewelry and wallets with credit cards, to winning scratch-off lottery tickets and other items.
Hyde Park Police said all residents should always lock their vehicles and not leave items of value in plain sight. Most of the vehicle larcenies come from those that are not locked.
