NEW YORK – The man for whom first responders searched for days has been located in New York City. He was in good health and was transported to Bellevue Hospital for medical and mental evaluation, State Police said Wednesday.
Edward Lopez, 68, had been reported missing from Lakeview Chateau Community Residence since March 14, resulting in a massive search of a 2,500 acre area in the Town of Sanford, which included search teams, canines, aviation assets and divers.
He was seen in lower Manhattan by a person who recognized him from media coverage and was picked up by New York City Police.
