YORKTOWN- State Assemblyman Matt Slater (R-Yorktown) Wednesday kicked off his re-election campaign for the 94th District seat.
He has the endorsements of the Republican and Conservative parties. His opponent, Zachary Cousens, will be running on the Democratic line in November.
Slater, who previously served as Yorktown town supervisor, launched his campaign with a video announcement.
“We need a state that works for us. We must solve the affordability crisis that’s forcing seniors and young families to flee their homes in the Hudson Valley. It’s time to hold the politicians in Washington, Albany and New York City accountable for the reckless migrant crisis that’s making us less safe and imposing an unprecedented new burden on taxpayers,” he said.
The 94th Assembly District encompasses portions of Putnam and Westchester counties.
