HOLMES – Fire that broke out Saturday night on North White Rock
Road in the Town of Beekman claimed the life of a man. His name has been
withheld pending notification of relatives.
Preliminary investigation revealed the homeowner reported to a neighbor
that her house was on fire and when she returned home, her boyfriend could
not be located. Following a search conducted by firefighters, the victim’s
remains were located in the charred debris.
The cause of the of the fire remains under investigation.
Beekman, Pawling, East Fishkill, Patterson, and Lake Carmel fire departments
fought the blaze supported by Amstar EMS, State Police and State Department
of Transportation, as well as NYSEG.
