Nesheiwat
WAPPINGER – A Hyde Park man is in the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond following the theft of a 2014 Mercedes-Benz from the garage of a Wappinger residence.
Shawn Nesheiwat, 34, was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and criminal possession of stolen property, all as felonies.
The car owner reported on February 10 that the vehicle was missing from their detached garage. The car keys, which were kept inside the home, were also taken.
The vehicle was later located in the Hudson Plaza parking lot, unoccupied and with significant damage.
Investigation by State Police led to Nesheiwat’s arrest.
