Newburgh graffiti swastika quickly painted over

Little time wasted in repairing the damage, rendering the
offending image barely visible

NEWBURGH – A swastika spray painted on a concrete barrier on Route 9W quickly disappeared Thursday morning.
Newburgh DPW chief George Garrison went out first thing in the morning and painted over the offending graffiti, rendering it mostly invisible..
Mayor Judy Kennedy said she was disgusted by the insensitivity of the marking.
