Minor injuries only in Ulster crash involving school bus

TOWN OF ULSTER – The Ulster Police Department responded to a 911 call for an accident involving School Bus and on Frank Sottile Boulevard in the area of Sams Club.   It happened shortly after 7 Thursday morning.
The school bus owned by First Student Inc. and being operated by a Saugerties, woman, was eastbound on Frank Sottile Boulevard, when it was rear ended by a car operated by Vincent Marchetti, 52, Kingston.
Investigation revealed that Marchetti failed apparently to observe the bus, subsequently striking in the causing damage to both vehicles. Both operators as well as four students on the bus were transported to Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus for non-life threatening injuries.
Marchetti was issued a traffic ticket for following too closely.
