Funeral for teacher killed in car accident set for Wednesday

PORT JERVIS – The funeral service for Christopher Corwin, the Minisink
Valley Middle School teacher killed in a Town of Greenville car crash
on Thursday, January 28, will be held on Wednesday, February 3 at Knight-Auchmoody
Funeral Home in Port Jervis at 4 p.m.

Corwin of Glen Spey, who was 40 years old, was killed when his car skidded
on ice on Route 6 and struck a tree as he was on his way to work.
He was married to Colleen McCafferty Corwin, his daughter, Erin, and son,
Brady.

Corwin was a technology teacher. Outside the classroom, Corwin was known
as an avid woodworker, outdoorsman, and an amateur astronomer.

Prior to the funeral service, visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
on Wednesday, at the funeral home, 154 East Main Street in Port Jervis.
