Mount Kisco man sentenced to prison on cocaine conviction

WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Kisco man was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Tuesday to seven years in state prison after a jury trial in which he was found guilty on two felony drug possession charges and one misdemeanor of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Wayne Brown, 40, was arrested on February 25, 2015 following a two-month investigation.
Three zip-lock plastic bags containing over 500 milligrams of cocaine were hidden in a black balloon were located on Brown’s lap when he was arrested in his car in a supermarket parking lot on Bedford Road in the Town of Bedford. 
When police later executed a search warrant at his St. Mark’s Place home, they discovered over an ounce of cocaine worth some $5,000.  They also found 1,000 empty glassine envelopes, meant for packaging cocaine for street sale, as well as over $5,200 in cash.
