Shawangunk Police Station gets state grant

HAMLET OF WALLKILL – A $50,000 state grant will be used to make improvements at the Town of Shawangunk Police Station. The work will include repairing the roof, which has significant leaks and icing problems in the winter.
The funding will help the town complete the construction, improve energy efficiency and provide moisture protection.
“The men and women of the Town of Shawangunk Police Department should not have to contend with a leaking roof and icing issues on an everyday basis,” said State Senator John Bonacic (R, Mt. Hope) who secured the money for the work.
