MONTICELLO – The Sullivan
County Republican Committee has backed for Assemblyman John Faso of Kinderhook
in his bid for the 19th Congressional District seat.

He defeated Bob Bishop and Andrew Heaney in the voting on Wednesday.

“As an Assembly leader who actually cut spending and closed deficits,
John Faso knows precisely what we need in Washington,” said Richard
Coombe, the Sullivan County GOP chairman. “He has the experience,
expertise, vision and leadership to bring about needed reforms to this
country that will undo the damage done by the Obama Administration.”

Faso has received the endorsements of the Sullivan, Columbia and Schoharie
County Republican committees as well as Conservative committees in Schoharie,
Columbia and Greene counties.

Incumbent Republican Congressman Christopher Gibson is not seeking a third
term in the House of Representatives.
