WAPPINGERS FALLS – A domestic
incident in Dutchess County on Sunday led to a suicide in a cemetery in
the Village of Wappingers Falls.

Mayor Matthew Alexander told MidHudsonNews.com that an argument earlier
in the day resulted in a man driving to St. Mary’s Cemetery where
he shot himself to death in his vehicle.

A number of area police agencies investigated the incident with a K-9
unit dispatched to the vehicle when it was found in the cemetery. The
driver was deceased inside from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Alexander
said.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
