MID-HUDSON – We didn’t have a white Christmas, in fact it was rather balmy, but it looks like winter is right around the corner, for real.
We are expecting a mix of sleet and freezing rain from 8 tonight until 6 tomorrow morning, and as a result of the forecast, a winter weather advisory has been placed in effect.
In past years, we have seen snow as early as late October and in many years, we do have a white Christmas, but call it global warming or whatever you like, we have had close to summer weather conditions well into December.  A factor in this year’s balmy weather, to date, is an unusually strong El Nino.
