BEDFORD – A Bronx man was arrested on Tuesday by State Police on a charge of felony criminal sexual act for allegedly having a sexual encounter with a female inmate at the women’s prison.
Rasheen Smalls, 34, who is charged, was a corrections officer at the prison. Smalls was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear in town court at the end of the month.
The investigation by the State Police and State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, found that in July, Smalls engaged in sexual contact with the inmate at the facility.
