TOWN OF WALLKILL – State Police Major Joseph Tripodo has been appointed commander of State Police Troop F in the Town of Wallkill. The 34-year veteran of the State Police previously served the Mid-Hudson troop as a trooper, investigator, senior investigator and captain.
He most recently was troop commander of Troop L on Long Island.
Troop F covers the five counties including Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Greene.
Former Troop F Commander Patrick Regan WAS promoted to staff inspector and assigned to Field Command at Division Headquarters.
Troop F also sees the return of Captain Brian Shortall, who will oversee Zone 1; Lt. Peter Cirigliano, who has been assigned to BCI; and Captain Michaels, who will oversee Zone 3.
