MONSEY – A 57-year-old
woman was killed Wednesday evening when the car she was driving crossed
lanes on Viola Road in Monsey and struck a stopped bus. There were no
passengers on the bus when the crash occurred at around 7:15 p.m.
Ramapo Town Police said the woman, whose name they did not immediately
release, was transported by Hatzolah Ambulance to Westchester Medical
Center where she died hours later from injuries she sustained in the accident.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
