Woman accused of insurance fraud

RHINEBECK—A Rhinebeck woman was arrested by State Police for allegedly collecting over $146,000 worth of state disability benefits while she was gainfully employed.
Viola Stanton, 61, was charged with insurance fraud, grand larceny, falsifying business records, and workers compensation fraud practices, all as felonies.  Stanton allegedly obtained the state money between August 2010 and November 2015.
Stanton is free pending a future court appearance.
