GOSHEN – The Orange County Veterans’ Services Department continues to provide transportation to take veterans to and from doctors’ appointments and to shopping.
Department Director Christian Farrell said they are working within their budget to serve the needs of the vets.
“Whether it is the Castle Point VA, down to the Bronx VA or get them their food on a weekly basis, we are trying to partner up with other agencies. We have something in the works, but currently it is the same four stops throughout Orange County – Port Jervis, Goshen, Newburgh and Middletown – where we pick up veterans,” he said.
Farrell briefed the county legislative oversight committee on Tuesday.
