NEWBURGH – The Avon Foundation for Women has awarded a $12,000 one-year grant to Safe Homes of Orange County for direct services to domestic violence victims.
This is the eighth year that Safe Homes has received an Avon Foundation grant.
“This funding continues to play a vital role in providing comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, teen dating violence, and human trafficking,” said Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Safe Homes’ executive director.
“It is through initiatives like Safe Homes’ Mentors in Violence Prevention Program that we can work to break the cycle of domestic violence once and for all, and ensure safety for victims and their families,” said Christine Jaworsky, program director of Avon’s Speak Out Against Domestic Violence Program.
