HYDE PARK – New interpretive kiosks along the Hyde Park Greenway Trail have been unveiled at Mills-Norrie State Park.
The kiosks will connect people to local history and provide orientation to the entire Hyde Park Greenway Trail system. They are located within Mills-Norrie and the adjacent Staatsburgh State Historic Site and were funded through a $5,000 grant from the Hudson River Valley Greenway.
The kiosks “will enrich the experience of hikers, whether they are tourists or local residents and add an important dimension to the Hyde Park Trail experience,” said Town Supervisor Aileen Rohr.
In addition to the kiosks and maps, recent funding included a grant to create the Historic Hyde Park Walking Tour and zoning updates to make the town more pedestrian friendly, she said.
