Four Yonkers residents, one from NJ, split $106 million in Mega Millions jackpot

YONKERS – Edgar Lopez of Yonkers and four others pooled their money and bought a Mega Millions Lottery ticket for the September 11 drawing and they hit the $106 million jackpot.  They were introduced to the public on Thursday.
The others to share the winnings with the 52-year-old limousine driver are Manuel Hernandez, 45, also a limousine driver, from Yonkers; Acela Hernandez, 51, Hernandez’s wife, who works as a housekeeper; Angela Pajes, 45, a daycare teacher in Basking Ridge, New Jersey; and HVAC business owner Miguel Acosta, 47, of Yonkers.
They will each receive $13,102,595, which will translate after taxes
for each New Yorker to $8,477,726 and for the New Jersey resident, $8,671,297.
The group’s plans for the money include vacations to Miami and France, and saving money.
