PINE BUSH – State Police arrested a Pine Bush man after a local man’s wallet was lost and he noticed unauthorized transactions on his credit cards.
Troopers investigated, obtained surveillance images of the suspect, later identified as Frederick Philo III, 35, of Pine Bush, and his vehicle at one of the locations where the complainant’s cards were used.
Police later spotted the vehicle being driven in the Town of Montgomery and found Philo in possession of the victim’s wallet and heroin.
Philo was charged with felony forgery and criminal possession of stolen property and misdemeanor drug possession. He was released after posting $3,000 bail.
