NEWBURGH – A 19-year-old Newburgh man sustained non-life threatening injuries when he was shot in the back with snake shot ammunition.
The man told City Police that he was walking on Johnston Street around 10:10 p.m. Monday when he heard what he thought was fireworks, but felt a pain in his back.
He went to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh where it was determined he had been shot. He was treated and hospital staff notified the police.
