GOSHEN – Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus wants to let Lego know firsthand from residents that they want a Legoland theme park built there.
He is urging residents to shoot short videos supporting construction of an amusement park and email them to him at ceoffice@orangecountygov.com.
“Our county has some wonderful locations that would suit Legoland,” Neuhaus said.  “It would be a major economic draw for the region, not to mention it would make a lot of young children in the area very happy,”
He said he expects residents to “have some fun” with the videos.
Developers wants to build a theme park in north Rockland County, but the Haverstraw Town Board said, “Thanks but no thanks.”
Following that announcement, both Orange and Dutchess counties reached out to the company offering sites for a park.
