PLEASANT VALLEY – A Pleasant Valley man is in custody, charged with murder, following the death of his mother.
The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Troop K headquarters in Dutchess County arrested Charles Cole, 48, on Friday in connection with the strangulation death of his mother. Police said her remains were later transported and discarded in South Carolina.
Cole was arraigned and placed the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
More details of the crime will be released later.
