State to hold session on Tarrytown transit-focused improvements

TARRYTOWN – The state Department of transportation has scheduled an open house this evening, October 13 at 7 p.m. to gain input from the community on the proposed plans for transit-focused improvements in the Village of Tarrytown. The session will be held at Tarrytown Village Hall.
The purpose of the event is to provide information about the project, collect input and review possible improvements.
The objective of the project is to improve mobility and opportunities for existing and future transit. Pedestrian crossings, sign and pavement marking upgrades, minor intersection changes, transit stop enhancements including a bus shelter, and other traffic operational improvements are being proposed.
