MIDDLETOWN – Just days
after US Senator Charles Schumer came to Middletown to announce he wanted
to increase the penalty for making bomb threats to schools, Middletown
High School was evacuated shortly after noon Wednesday after a threat
was received.
Police converged on the scene of the third such bomb threat to the district
in recent days. The other calls were false alarms.

Following a full sweep of the high school by city and state police the
all-clear was given and students returned to their classes.
