ELLENVILLE – An Ellenville man was arrested following a domestic incident that led to charges of resisting arrest by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies were called to Cherry Lane in the Town of Wawarsing and learned that Richard Schonbrun, 49, damaged a residence as well as property inside and prevented the victim from placing a 911 call by disabling her phone before he fled the area.
After a brief search, deputies located Schonbrun, who resisted as they took him into custody. He was charged with the felonies of criminal mischief and coercion and misdemeanors of criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
