STONY POINT – A man jumped off the Bear Mountain Bridge Monday afternoon and after he hit the water, tried swimming away from responding officers.
Police officers who were dispatched to the Hudson River scooped him up after he tried to swim away from them.
He was taken to a hospital for observation.
