POUGHKEEPSIE – Milan Town Supervisor William Gallagher is the latest local official to endorse Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro, in his bid to win a second four-year term.
Republican Molinaro is being challenged by Democrat Diane Jablonski.
“I have known Marc for over 16 years and we have always had a strong partnership in government,” said Gallagher, a fellow Republican. “He has been a strong leader for the county and has been there to support the Town of Milan when we needed it.”
Molinaro began his political career in 1994 when, at age 18, he was elected to the Tivoli Village Board. One year later he was elected mayor. From there, he was a member of the county legislature before serving as a state assemblyman from 2007 to 2011.
