Shooting, stabbing in Yonkers

YONKERS – A 22-year-old Yonkers man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during a physical dispute early Sunday morning and less than two hours later, another man was stabbed.
City police said the incident occurred at around 1:45 a.m. in the area of 9 Lamartine Avenue. The man was shot by an unknown suspect. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video in the area.
The victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening.
In an unrelated incident at about 3:30 a.m., police were called to a gas station at 364 Nepperhan Avenue where a 21-year-old man was stabbed in his shoulder and thigh.
Police said the victim was in a dispute with a group of men, who chased him into the gas station at which time he was stabbed. His injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening and he was being treated at a local hospital.
Detectives are currently reviewing video at the scene and are attempting to locate witnesses.
