Six arrested on drug charges in Middletown/Wallkill police raids

MIDDLEOTWN – Police in the Middletown/Wallkill area Thursday morning conducted four warrant searches that resulted in six arrests on drug charges.
In the City of Middletown, a search on Commonwealth Avenue led to the arrests of Matthew Green, 31, and Gabrielle Whitby, 23, both of that address. They were each charged with felony drug possession. Green was also charged with felony criminal possession of a handgun. They possessed 43 bags of heroin.
Shumare Davis, 30, and Jerrel Priest, 31, both of Harrison Street, were arrested and charged at that address with felony drug possession. They were found in possession of 98 bags of heroin, three ½ grams of crack cocaine and ecstasy.
On Excelsior Avenue in Wallkill, Robert Whitby, 52, was charged with felony drug possession for possessing 240 bags of heroin. He was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon for having two handguns as a convicted felon.
On Anthony Street in Wallkill, Darryl Stevens, 38, was charged with felony drug possession for having 1 ½ grams of crack cocaine.
