LIBERTY – The Catskill Cuisine Festival will run from Friday, May 10th through Sunday, May 12th. It’s the second annual event where celebrity chefs travel to Sullivan County to talk about their careers and conduct cooking demonstrations. Roberta Byron-Lockwood, CEO of the Sullivan County Visitors Association, is excited about the weekend’s activities.
“We start out on Friday at the Monster Golf Course at Resort World Catskills, then there’s an all-day festival on Saturday so you‘ll have a full day of wonderful samples, free tastings opportunities, top chefs doing demos, meet and greets, book signings, and there will be a Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday,” she said.
Funds raised during the golf outing will benefit A Single Bite, a Sullivan County charity focused on fighting hunger hand helping residents make better food choices. The association’s executive director Audrey Garro is looking forward to the weekend’s activities as well.
“For us, it’s an opportunity to be associated with an amazing regional festival, and to have that kind of visibility and fundraising potential for an non-profit that’s feeding and educating our children and families in Sullivan County is just spectacular,” she said.
