WHITE PLAINS – The former general manger of the Rye Golf Club has been sentenced in Westchester County Court to one to three years in state prison for stealing over $271,000 from the Rye city owned non-equity membership club.
Scott Yandrasevich, 51, of Danbury, Connecticut, pled guilty last November to grand larceny and falsifying business records, both as felonies.
Over a five year period while he was general manager, he stole the funds by submitting false invoices to the City of Rye for fictitious employees. He reported on company stationery that they worked in administration, the restaurant or operations at the club.
The Rye Police Department became aware of the financial irregularities, hired outside counsel, who further investigated and forwarded the findings to the district attorney’s office.
