NEWBURGH – Police are investigating
the shooting of a 13-year-old girl who was wounded in the leg late Saturday
night while walking with a friend in the area of Little Monument Street
in Newburgh.
City Police said the two saw a vehicle drive by around 11:40 p.m. and
heard several gunshots. One struck her in the leg. The victim was unsure
of the street she and her friend were on at the time of the shooting.
The wound does not appear to be life threatening, police said.
