Pine Bush woman charged with slapping autistic boys under her care

PINE BUSH – A school bus monitor was charged Thursday with striking two autistic boys, ages eight and 13, with her hands during a bus trip from Pine Bush to The Center for Spectrum Services in Kingston.
State Police said Shirley Ellison, 73 was supervising the children at the time of the incident.
Ellison was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and harassment, and released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
