New Guinea woman killed in Taconic crash

LAGRANGE – A Papua, New Guinea woman was killed and four other people in her car were injured when she ran off the Taconic State Parkway in LaGrange just before 10 p.m. on Thursday and struck a rock embankment.
State Police said Nancy Sullivan, 57, was northbound in an SUV when the accident occurred. She died at the scene.
Three children in her vehicle, ages five, eight and 10, also of New Guinea, were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where two were listed in critical condition with the third in stable condition, police said.
A fifth passenger in the vehicle, Skudy Bangan, 43, also of New Guinea, was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call State Police at the Poughkeepsie barracks at 845-677-7300.
