WASHINGTONVILLE – A two-alarm fire at 20 South Street in Washingtonville early Saturday heavily damaged a residence.
The blaze was called in shortly after 5 a.m. at a 25 foot by 40 foot structure that fire officials said had heavy fire throughout.
Several area fire departments were called in to assist along with Orange County fire investigators. Orange and Rockland Utilities shut off power.
Fire officials warned firefighters at the scene to be careful as power lines were down across the driveway.
