NEW CITY – Two women, who were involved
in the plot to kill Peggy Nadell in her Valley Cottage home in January
2014, were sentenced in Rockland County Court on Friday to time served
on misdemeanor charges as part of their cooperation agreements in the
prosecution of the two key players in the killing.

Tanisha Joyner, 27, of Maryland and Eltia Grant, 25, of California, both
pled guilty to hindering the prosecution.

Diana Nadell and Andrea Benson both pled guilty to killing Peggy Nadell,
Diana’s mother-in-law.

District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said Joyner attempted to provide a fake
alibi for Diana Nadell while police investigating the murder, turned state’s
evidence 10 days after her arrest when she pled guilty and agreed to testify
against the two killers.

Grant, who relayed messages by telephone from Diana Nadell to Benson regarding
a false alibi during the police investigation, also agreed to cooperate
with the prosecution. She pled guilty less than a month after her arrest
and also agreed to testify against Diana Nadell and Benson.
