KINGSTON – A Kingston man was arrested early Monday morning on
felonies burglary and assault charges after he allegedly forced his way
into a Wall Street residence and assaulted a male occupant.

The victim suffered a punctured lung, broken ribs and a broken jaw. He
was transported to the Hudson Valley Health Alliance and later transferred
to Albany Medical Center where Kingston Police said he was listed in stable
condition.

Kingston Police investigated the Sunday, July 5 incident and determined
that Bryant “BJ” Williams, 22, of Hasbrouck Avenue in Kingston,
had apparently gone to the residence, pushed his way in and assaulted
the victim. A 21-year-old woman who lives there had an order of protection
against Williams. She attempted to call the police to report the assault,
but Williams took her phone and fled the area.

At about 3:40 a.m. Monday Williams was located by police and taken into
custody without incident.

He was charged with burglary, assault and misdemeanors of criminal contempt
and criminal mischief.
