Three stabbed, one shot dead, in Plattekill

PLATTEKILL – Authorities continue to investigate an apparent argument that turned deadly Saturday evening at a residence on Crescent Avenue in Plattekill.
Three people were stabbed and a fourth person was shot and killed by family members of the wounded individuals. The dead man was identified by police as Rodshan Pittman, 25, of Highland.
The injured, a man and two women, were transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie where they were treated for what appeared to be non-life threatening wounds, police said.
No charges were filed as the investigation continues pending possible grand jury action.
State Police, Town of Plattekill Police, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene.
