POUGHKEEPSIE – A fight among juvenile girls in the City of Poughkeepsie on Wednesday resulted in the arrest of the mother of one of them on assault charges.
Police said the incident in the area of 120 Hudson Avenue involved a group of girls. During the altercation, one of their mothers, Shauna Alexander, 32, jumped in. During that fight, the mother bit, choked and struck two of the girls.
Alexander was charged with two counts of assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. She was released on an appearance ticket.
